Amazon Takes On Social Media

Many top brands are stepping up their involvement in social media. The advertising opportunities provided by platforms like Twitter and Facebook are unbeatable! Their main competition with regard to this social gaming group is a group called Zynga. Zynga is currently the top social gaming network and has been for quite some time. No other gaming group has been able to even think about competing with Zynga until now. They are still in the search for more talent, however, as their goal is to keep expanding and diversifying this group.
 
Besides social gaming, they are utilizing both Facebook and Twitter in ways that differ from most companies. The Kindle now allows the reader to share notes or passages with their friends and followers. This seems like an amazing idea, both for Amazon and for Kindle owners, but there is one drawback. It only works to automatically share all of your passages with all of your contacts. This bug will hopefully be worked out soon because this feature would be a great advantage for the company.

The companies specialty is cross-selling. This is also where they make the most money. Cross-selling is when a prospective customer is looking at an item and at the bottom of the screen, there is a list of things that other customers bought who also looked at that item. Facebook allows them to do this through their website rather than their own website. They continue to take full advantage of the social media outlets that are provided to businesses. This gives them a major advantage in today's competitive market.
